چکیده

In recent years, it has become increasingly clear that the vision of the Semantic Web requires uncertain reasoning over rich, firstorder representations. Markov logic brings the power of probabilistic modeling to first-order logic by attaching weights to logical formulas and viewing them as templates for features of Markov networks. This gives natural probabilistic semantics to uncertain or even inconsistent knowledge bases with minimal engineering effort. Inference algorithms for Markov logic draw on ideas from satisfiability, Markov chain Monte Carlo and knowledge-based model construction. Learning algorithms are based on the conjugate gradient algorithm, pseudo-likelihood and inductive logic programming. Markov logic has been successfully applied to problems in entity resolution, link prediction, information extraction and others, and is the basis of the open-source Alchemy system.

An Executive Approach Based On the Production of Fuzzy Ontology Using the Semantic Web Rule Language Method (SWRL)

Today, the need to deal with ambiguous information in semantic web languages is increasing. Ontology is an important part of the W3C standards for the semantic web, used to define a conceptual standard vocabulary for the exchange of data between systems, the provision of reusable databases, and the facilitation of collaboration across multiple systems. However, classical ontology is not enough ...

Efficient maximum a-posteriori inference in Markov logic and application in description logics

The maximum a-posteriori (MAP) query in statistical relational models computes the most probable world given evidence and further knowledge about the domain. It is arguably one of the most important types of computational problems, since it is also used as a subroutine in weight learning algorithms. In this thesis, we discuss an improved inference algorithm and an application for MAP queries. W...

Proceedings Template - WORD

Most of the approaches for dealing with uncertainty in the Semantic Web rely on the principle that this uncertainty is already asserted. In this paper, we propose a new approach to learn and reason about uncertainty in the Semantic Web. Using instance data, we learn the uncertainty of an OWL ontology, and use that information to perform probabilistic reasoning on it. For this purpose, we use Ma...

Probabilistic Soft Logic for Semantic Textual Similarity

Probabilistic Soft Logic (PSL) is a recently developed framework for probabilistic logic. We use PSL to combine logical and distributional representations of natural-language meaning, where distributional information is represented in the form of weighted inference rules. We apply this framework to the task of Semantic Textual Similarity (STS) (i.e. judging the semantic similarity of naturallan...

Learning and Reasoning about Uncertainty in the Semantic Web

The main idea behind the Semantic Web is the representation of knowledge in an explicit and formal way. This is done using ontology representation languages as OWL, which is based on Description Logics and other logic formalisms. One of the main objectives with this kind of knowledge representation is that it can then be used for reasoning. But the way reasoning is done in the Semantic Web tech...
